This companies listed on this page are not fraudsters and their companies are not scams.  They are on this page because they have been accused of gross incompetence by either an I.B.A. member, or one of our website users.

The I.B.A. fully appreciate that many things can go wrong when conducting day-to-day business operations.  But when this happens and you offer no support to your customer, or refuse to rectify your mistake, that will earn you a place on this page.

Competent service with friendly efficient staff should be given by all companies to all customers, and consumers have the right to voice their opinions when this is not given.

The I.B.A. are always prepared to enter into dialog with any company, and also prepared to publish that companies response to any complaint or insinuation of incompetence lodged against them.

The I.B.A. will only publish reports of incompetence when submitted to us in writing and whenever possible accompanied by documented evidence.

The purpose of this Incompetence listing is to save consumers from unnecessary aggravation and the financial hardship caused by either entering into worthless contracts, or having to endure the consequences of someone else's incompetence.


 

Telefonica - Spain

This is Spain National phone line provider. Their track
record of customer service, after-sales service and quality
of workmanship is the most appalling we have ever heard.
They actually have more official complaints against them
than any other company in the country's history.
 



 
Bravo-Fly - Flight Ticket Brokers  
We have received numerous reports on how this company
advertise flights on their website, knowing they can not
complete your booking at the price advertised. When we
spoke to them, they said they updated their website periodically.
Maybe they should think about updating their website when prices change,
which have been known to double in between you booking the flight and them emailing you the flight confirmation!

 




 
Societe Generale Bank - Tanger - Morocco

Without doubt, this bank is the most incompetent we have ever heard of, unbelievably slow in everything they do and incompetent to the extreme.

They actually lose customers official company documents. (Articles of Association)

Customer Accounts have disappeared along with funds without a trace ! It can take them six
months to issue you a Username and Password for online banking, only to find in the majority of cases, they do NOT work ! Then their system locks you out completely...

They took eight months to supply one client with his Debit Card, then a further two months for the PIN Code, only to find the PIN Code was invalid.

They deny funds have arrived in their bank, even when you have a copy of the SWIFT trace in your hand, and have faxed them a copy proving it !

 





Pay Pal
The numerous reports we have received appear to make a mockery of the buyers protection that Pay Pal claim to offer, it quite often appears to be an impossible task getting them to honour their promises ? Make sure you read the small print...




Lloyds TSB - Isle of Man
 


This branch of LloydsTSB appear to be experts at wasting your time...

Our own personal experience resulted in us telephoning the bank 7 times over a 10 day period requesting they email us an account application form. The for eventually arrived, was completed and handed into a LloydsTSB branch, they subsequently lost it, then found it, then lost it again.

A second form was completed and sent direct to the Isle of Man, then they lost it, then found it, then appraised it, only to find they had sent us the wrong form to begin with. We then made 11 requests for a supervisors to contacts us, none of them ever did.

We then phoned a further 12 times in 5 days and managed to speak to 4 different supervisors who each promised to resolve the situation and return our call before the close of business that day, we never heard back from any of them.

We then decided to give up and took our business to one of their competitors.

You will waste hours of your time trying to get through on the telephone, you will waste further hours being put on hold whilst one of their poorly trained incompetent staff try to figure out what to do with you, only to be cut-off and have to phone back, again, and again and again....

 
 
"3" Mobile Telephone Network - UK
 
Reports are of this company selling mobile phone contracts
to consumers, only for the consumer to find their home
address is outside of the "3" catchments area. You are
now locked into a contract that if you try to cancel,
the threatening letters will pour through the door !

 
 
Potea Offices Services - Europe
 

This company will offer you endless promises of
efficiency and professionalism, Make the most of them,
because that is all you will get!

They are a complete waste of time!

They have no one taking responsibility, it really is a case of the blind leading the blind. They quite often answer their business telephone without even saying who they are?

They receive parcels for clients, and do not inform the clients that the parcel has arrived, even though the client has [aid for that service.

They shelve parcels and the deny they have ever arrived, as well as shelving parcels that they are paid to forward on.
